My Thoughts:
Yep, I'm still reading teen/youth books to add to our church library. Hopefully there's some teen readers out there who will enjoy what I'm finding! This was a top-notch suspense! I was turning pages faster and faster to see what would happen to Cooper, Hiro, and Gordy and how they would try to catch the theives who hurt their friend and mentor. The plot was very engaging and took a hard look at the topic of lying and how a web of lies will grow exponentially the more you tell. Cooper's quandry--to tell or not to tell--was very difficult and one that I would never want to face myself. Shoemaker does a very good job of fleshing out the characters and their responses to the robbery they witnessed. Very exciting and good for adults too!
