This week's Hodgepodge has a bit of a Thanksgiving theme. Go figure!
1. If you had known what they knew then, would you have boarded the Mayflower?
No. I'm not a risk-taker.
2. How far have you traveled on a boat and how do you feel about boats in general?
I haven't been on boate that much. My brother has a boat and I've riden on it a few times. I've been on a fairy to get to Victoria for a couple house. I love going for short rides, but am not too into boats.
3. What traditions have you kept, acquired thru marriage, and/or tossed? If you're single what are some of your family's favorite Thanksgiving traditions?
When I was a kid, we were glued to the TV for the parade, but my kids don't really get into it. I can't think of too many other Thanksgiving traditions that have changed too much, except now I have to do all the cooking!
4. What time is dinner and how many will be round your table? And what is the one side dish you cannot do without on Thanksgiving day?
Yes, I know it goes against all I believe in to ask for 'just one', but I made up for it by asking three questions here.
We have 13 only this year. We will eat at like 1ish. I love sweet potatoes and I also love the turkey!
5. Have you ever used a fire extinguisher? Do tell....
Fortunately, no.
6. Tell about a situation that caused you dreadful trepidation and feet dragging, only to realize later it was a true blessing.
Travels are often like that for me. I get anxious and crabby getting ready and packed, but then usually have a great time once we get there!
7. Baked, sweet, mashed, hash browned or french fried...which one's your favorite?
I like mashed with all kinds of goodies mix in.
8. Insert your own random thought here.
I am nervous about getting everything done for Thanksgiving. My kids have been sick and I'm fighting fears about being sick myself or my husband getting sick. I always want everything to be perfect when we have people over.
