Just thought I'd say a quick hello and let you know what's been keeping me busy these days!
As you know, we got a puppy, so puppy training is high on my priority list these days! He's adorable but needs lots of attention and even ended up sick once already too. My girls are loving having a puppy, but get sick of taking him outside all the time. Just imagine how fun it will be to take him out in the winter snow!
I have a middle schooler now so that has added a whole new aspect of carpooling and figuring out a new school, etc. She is doing well with it for the most part, but hasn't been challenged and is quite bored with her subjects. I wish that schools could spend as much time working to challenge the good kids as they do trying to keep the "naughty" ones from misbehaving. She loves her music classes though, and is learning the viola and oboe.
We've been updating stuff in our home. I've painted 2 rooms so far and have 2 to go. We got new family room furniture and I am deciding on a paint color that will tie in to the other rooms and give the room the homey cozy feeling I'm looking for.
I've been exercizing a lot more. We got a Y membership and I am really enjoying that since June. My stomach issues have improved somewhat (praise God!) which is good, and I think it has to do with an overall decrease in stress in my life lately. I like this slower pace I've been taking. I'm saying "no" to a lot more things in the interest of family time and my health. I've even slowed way down on my craft business, but am not sure what that will mean for the November/December times that usually get insanely busy for the Christmas season. I'm thinking of not selling anything but what I have available and leaving it at that. This is hard for me, because I always want to please everyone who wants a special order.
