Alphabet Soup Giveaway is back!
Here are the rules:
RULES FOR ENTERING:
a. Post a comment to the posts of the books you'd like to win. You can enter for as many of the books as you would like. Every 2-3 days the next letter's giveaway will be posted.
b. Answer the day's silly question for fun.
Today's question: N is for nap. Do you like to take naps? Do you regularly take them?
I never nap. The only time I did was when I was in college and when my babys were newborn. For some reason I end up feeling more groggy afterwards. My dad can nap anytime or anyplace within 30 seconds. I wish I could nap today, I only slept for a couple hours last night...up with one of my girls and a thunderstorm and my stupid stomach problems.
c. Enter on or before July 22. Winners will be drawn on July 23. Claim your prize, if you win, within 10 days of being notified or I will redraw. (In other words, let me know you want the book and where it should be sent, should you find out your name was drawn.)
d. Check back for the next giveaway! Today's book is The Butterfly Farm by Diane Noble.
Newly widowed Harriet MacIver has just taken on her first travel writing assignment–rating an adventure cruise in the Caribbean. Add a gaggle of college students on a mini semester-at-sea voyage, a rusting hulk of a ship that misses more ports than it makes, and two deaths by poisonous butterfly, and Harriet is off and running on a hair-raising adventure. And that’s before two coeds, Kate and Carly, go missing–Carly being her boss’s daughter.
Pulled into a dangerous web of bioethical intrigue, Harriet races against time. If the killer isn’t stopped, Kate and Carly will die–and that may only be the beginning of his plans for destruction.
With scant clues and fewer resources, Harriet must track down the college girls–and outmaneuver a murderer who is only part of an elaborate plot of medical madness. Travel writing certainly isn’t what Harriet thought it would be.
Spiked with suspense and bioethical intrigue, The Butterfly Farm invites you to solve a Caribbean puzzle with travel’s most delightful woman of mystery.
My Thoughts:
I enjoyed this book! Once in a while the characters were confusing to me, but the mystery was exciting yet mild and ok for those who don't like the more intense mysteries. A enjoyable summer read. And don't you love the cool cover?
