I thought I'd give you a little update on what I've been doing lately while I wasn't blogging...
I finished 2 more of my web design classes. You can see my flash site at: http://www.creativetreedesigns.com/
I taught 70 women at my church how to make scrabble tile pendants like these:
I sold 100 more pens after the event and had to catch up on inventory and make them all.
I read and enjoyed the Twilight Series (any other fans out there?). I didn't think I would like it, but I really did enjoy them.
I went through some depression over my continued battle (and failure) over losing weight successfully. I am still in a dark place of self-loathing over this. I hate how this failure can negate all the other successes.
I designed a bunch of graphic materials for my church's Vacation Bible School and library summer reading program.
I went to Chicago with my family and we went to the Field Museum, Museum of Science and Industry, the Aquarium, the Planetarium, the Sears Tower, and the American Girl Place. (my favorite was the American Girl Place!) All this in 2 and a half days! I ended up falling asleep in the Planetarium during one of the star shows...I woke up and I was on Mars!
I cleaned and reorganized a whole bunch of stuff.
Is life less busy now? Not really, my parents visit next week, I still have one more class to finish, all the end-of-the-school year stuff is going on, both girls are doing soccer and Grace is spending more time figure skating, my husband's job is crazy busy, we're going to Disney in a month and I hate that I haven't lost weight, I feel unready to create websites for clients and am considering more classes...the bells and whistles of shopping carts, search enginges, etc. are unlearned yet, and my yard is seriously in need of weeding... Life is busy for everyone it seems. One day at a time, right? God is faithful I must remember.
Hope you are well. My reading time is still somewhat diminished, but I've decided that you all have busy lives and will understand that I will read and review as I can. Plus, in all my cleaning, I am "releasing" a whole lot of books and you guys like that too since I love spreading the joy of reading with giveaways!
By the way, the beaded pens are fabulous teacher gifts! I normally sell them for $10, but am having an "teacher sale" for $5. Let me know if you are interested in having me send you any. You can email me directly ([email protected]) and we can use a paypal link. Here's a pdf file with all the choices: Download Beadedpenchoices
Have a great day!
