Hello blogger friends! Sorry I've been a little less active on the blog lately. We were out of town visiting my family in Washington state.
We had a nice time with family and friends and the trip included all kinds of things like:
- lots of Washington rain
- my girls driving my dad's tractors all over the yard/neigborhood
- a trip to the Seattle zoo
- a visit to a chocolate shop in Seattle where we tasted Chai Chocolate (yummy) and curry chocolate (not my favorite)
- hiking near Mount Baker in the mud
- playing with my parent's neighbor's dog
- bike rides to the Dutch Treat and Dutch Bakery (I love maple bars and almond tarts!)
- hanging out with my brothers and their families almost every night
- going "wild" at my brother Dale's with his tree swing and fire pit
A good trip, filled with all the fun that my girls have playing with their cousins, all the angst that comes from still trying to find a way to please your parents even in your thirties, all the laughter that comes when families come together and play crazy games, and all the remembering that comes from going through childhood stuff and sleeping in your childhood bedroom.
