This drawing is now CLOSED. Thanks for entering.
This will be a giveaway working through the alphabet by author's last name.
RULES FOR ENTERING:
a. Post a comment to the blog entries of the books you would like to win AND answer the question that goes with it.
Today's question for "D." D is for dog. There are lots of dogs in movies and TV shows. Which "famous" dog is your favorite? I really liked Eddie the dog on "Frasier."
b. Enter on or before the date specified. Claim your prize, if you win, within 10 days of being notified or I will redraw. (In other words, let me know you want the book and where it should be sent, should you find out your name was drawn.)
Today's book winner will be drawn on December 26.
c. Check back for the next giveaway: letter E!
Today's books are by Brandt Dodson, the "Colton Parker Mystery" series. I have just started reading these and they are very good! Very exciting! I've heard great things about this series and was happy that the letter "D" is finally giving me a chance to read them.
Book 1: Original Sin
Description:
Colton Parker was just fired from the FBI, has a teenage daughter who blames him for her mother’s death, and now that he’s hung out his shingle as a P.I., his first paying client—Angie Howe—has enough money for only one day’s worth of investigating. But Angie looks like she could use a friend, so Colton has his first case.
When the mystery is finally resolved, Colton is resigned to improve his parenting skills with his daughter—and while the pair still struggle with each other, hope finally gets a chance to grow.
Description:
Lester Cheek had everything a man could want. A beautiful home, thriving business and money to burn. But he was alone — very alone. Until he met Claudia.
The attractive and effervescent Claudia was everything that Lester could hope for. But then, she mysteriously disappears and Colton Parker is hired to find her.
Suspense...intrigue...high drama in the tradition of Dashiell Hammett and Raymond Chandler.
Description:
Wealthy businessman Berger Hume is dying. And the one thing he wants most is the one thing his millions cannot buy—a relationship with the son he has never met. As Colton Parker, private investigator, searches to locate the son, he finds himself the target of threats from a powerful gang with ties that extend to high–level government.
The twists of this case cause Colton to question his own values. Will he risk the one thing that matters most? And will this race against time become a race for his own life?
Description:
After closing a high profile case, Colton Parker’s life is beginning to turn around. His detective agency has money in the bank, a growing clientele, and the relationship between Colton and FBI agent Mary Christopher is beginning to blossom. Things are looking up...until his daughter, Callie, vanishes.
The search for Callie will lead Colton into a world he has never seen. A world where everything is wrong—and wrong is right. A world where light is exchanged for darkness, and the truth is sacrificed for a lie.
If Colton is to save Callie in time, he will need to confront evil where it dwells. A confrontation that will affect both father and daughter for all eternity.

These look pretty interesting. This isn't an author I'm familiar with but that never stops me from trying to make new literary friends. :-)
Hmmm... I think my favorite dog on TV would be Vincent from "LOST". Hmmm... where is Vincent on that now-disappeared island?? Will be tuned in on Jan. 21. ;-)

Hm, my favorite breed of dog is the Old English Sheepdog, which was used for the movie The Shaggy Dog.

What a great set of books! The Colton Parker series is on my wish list.
My favorite dog from a movie is Chance, the white American Bulldog in Homeward Bound. We had one with the same markings, the dark ear and patch around the eye; Callie was a wonderful dog.

How about Rin Tin Tin. That really dates me. LOL
Sounds like a great series.

I really like Chance from Homeward Bound. Thanks!

I would love to win and read these. I would have to say that Lassie is the most well know dog around. She made everyone want to have a dog in the 50's and 60's.

My favorite would probably be the one from Frasier too.

MMmm. Well I own two Airedale Terriers, and I'm sure they'll either eat my Christmas cookies or chew up my favorite pair of shoes if I don't say the Airedale in the 100 and One Dalmation movie. Y'know the big fuzzy black and tan one that looked a bit like a teddy bear?
